Good evening, novice; this is my inaugural post. We possess an EQA that was stationed in multiple parking facilities. At one point, my wife observed that someone had collided with the front of the car. However, the specific location and timing remain unknown. I did not configure the Mercedes-Me app and, consequently, did not purchase the collision features. I require the specific time of the incident. I contacted the Mercedes garage, and they informed me that I could only ascertain the time of the occurrence if I had the app configured and had paid for the necessary services. Is this correct? I anticipated that the vehicle might be connected to the Mercedes computer to obtain a timestamp of when the incident transpired. However, they assert that the computer indicates a negative response. Is this accurate? Assistance would be valued, as the damage is expected to amount to £3,000 or £4,000, which will jeopardise our no-claims status and increase the premium. The majority of locations where the automobile was present are equipped with cameras. Thank you.

Are you referring to "Valet Protect"? If so, to my knowledge, it is complimentary for the initial three years. Why did you not establish Mercedes Me?

I lack a conclusive response; nonetheless, I recommend seeking a local independent specialist equipped with an authentic MB STAR diagnostic computer and proficient in its operation. Subsequently, request that they connect it to the vehicle for inspection. You are likely to achieve a superior and more economical outcome than visiting the dealer.
As previously stated, nearly all remote services are complimentary for the initial three years.
I suspect that collision detection only transmits an alarm to the Mercedes Me app, activating a notice on your phone. I once received a fake notification, but I currently cannot find any record of it.

Collision detection is included in the standard alarm features of our C Class model. Valet Protect alerts you whenever the vehicle moves beyond a predetermined distance from its original location, or optionally, when the engine is activated or off.

I recently examined Mercedes Me and discovered that I had "Collision Detect."

Thank you for the informative response. I contacted one, but it was not feasible due to the exorbitant cost of the outing. Interestingly, while driving the courtesy vehicle, I was parked at a train station when someone collided with me; I had their details this time. Haha.
