I have observed for the last couple of months that the rear seat reminder continues notifying when the vehicle is turned off as soon as I open the drivers door. This should generally happen only if I have opened one of the rear doors before but appears to happen all the time in my situation. Tried deactivating from the panel and still shows up? any suggestions how to fix?

I have also had similar problem.
The rear seat check alert activates each time I turn off the ignition, even though the rear seats are unoccupied and properly secured.
I also attempted to cycle the magic seats to see if it would resolve the issue, but there was no difference.

I am now disregarding it, notwithstanding its significant red alert status.
The HRV was received from the dealer on January 10th, and I first overlooked it; nonetheless, there is much to absorb when acquiring one of these vehicles.

I shall visit the local Honda dealership the next time I am in proximity to get their opinion.

It seems plausible that Honda has deliberately implemented this measure due to a series of events in which parents neglected to remember that they were transporting youngsters in the rear seats, leading to fatalities.

It is located in Vehicle Settings > Meter Setup > Rear Seat Reminder on the display audio screen.
