Hey everyone,
I've seen a listing for a Peugeot 3008 on Facebook Marketplace sold by Pentony Transport. Before I go any further, I really need some genuine experiences from anyone who’s actually dealt with them before....
Anyone dealt with Pentony Transport ? Looking for some genuine experiences

I purchased two vehicles from Pentony Transport last year, one Mini cooper for my daughter and a Nissan X-Trail for myself. Initially found their listings through an independent sales agent on eBay. After exchanging a couple of emails with this agent, they connected me with Pentony Transport, they were super helpful, especially Paul from their customer support team, who guided me through each step. I’m 57, and a bit cautious about online purchases, but everything went smoothly for me.
Since they only accept bank transfers, I'm getting serious "run-for-the-hills" vibes here. Nearly got burnt last week trying to buy a car on Facebook Marketplace, dodged that bullet Matrix-style, so this time I'm triple-checking they're actually legit and not just another episode of "Britain's Got Scammers."

Absolutely, I had the exact same worries myself, so I decided to get some professional advice from my solicitor. He explained that UK banks have really stepped up their fraud protection game, especially since the new rules that came into force last October. Essentially, if you ever end up getting scammed or something dodgy happens, the bank is legally required to reimburse your money within five working days.
Plus, paying by bank transfer provides a clear, traceable record of your transaction, which makes things a lot easier if you ever need to challenge or dispute a payment.

Pentony Transport is known in Belfast for logistics and freight services. My boss used them to move his furniture from Manchester recently and said they were very professional.

I used to work in transport around Belfast and often crossed paths with Pentony Transport drivers. Never heard anything sketchy about them.

I’m looking at a Volvo XC40 listed through Pentony Transport’s agent. Price seems good, almost too good actually. Does anyone know how their vehicle inspection and refund policy actually works?

I asked about their money-back guarantee policy when purchasing. It’s straightforward, vehicles arrive with a 10-day inspection period. If the car isn't as described or if you just change your mind, they refund your payment promptly. According to their terms, the car needs to be returned in the same condition it was delivered.
I registered and got a call from them, they walked me through the whole thing. It’s a two-step process: first, you pay a deposit so they can get the vehicle ready, which apparently includes a good scrub, a full check-over, and probably a pep talk. Then once it's loaded onto the lorry (alongside a few others, I assume), they send the final invoice for the remaining balance.
Sounds serious, but smooth enough, no cloak and dagger stuff so far!

Keep us posted on how it all turns out! Would be really useful for others thinking of buying to hear how your experience goes.
