I would appreciate any guidance, please.
I own a 2013 E82 1 Series. Does anybody know whether replacing the key reader only requires reconnection, or is software necessary for functionality?
I appreciate your assistance in advance.

Indeed, someone indicated that it will just plug in and function without the need for programming. Consequently, I got a new one yesterday, and I hope this resolves the sporadic starting issue.
