Similar to the several other postings exceeding a count of 10,000, the topic of discussion pertains to CarPlay. I have previously had this feature in prior vehicles, but I am now without it, I express a desire to get it once again.
The vehicle in question is a W205 model with a 2016 - 66 registration. It is widely believed that this particular model does not come equipped with native CarPlay functionality. Therefore, the only viable choices for integrating CarPlay would be aftermarket solutions. In the event that these aftermarket options are not successful, an alternative approach might include installing a newer system with a 5.5 version.
The existing system has two components: the 531 - Command APS NTG5/NGT5.5 and the 810 - Premium Sound System (Burmester).

The first item of interest is the MMI box. The most economically advantageous alternative, albeit the factory screen does not align with my own preferences, necessitating its replacement.
The second unit of study pertains to Android. The many alternatives might be intellectually challenging. Is there a known, trustworthy, well-crafted make/model that has a solid user interface?
One possible approach would be to allocate the whole budget towards the retrofitting of a more contemporary unit, like the NTG5.5 system seen in a facelift model. I had previously undertaken many NBT EVO updates during my ownership of a BMW vehicle. However, I am currently unfamiliar with the architecture of Mercedes automobiles.
I am in need of a solution that has an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) aesthetic and user experience, ideally with the capability for CarPlay to automatically start upon connection.
