Hi everyone,
I recently went ahead and bought a 2020 BMW 3 Series from a company called Calkill Transport based in Belfast. Everything seemed legit at first good communication, proper invoice, and they said the car would be delivered to my place in Coventry within about a week.
It’s been a few days now and I’m starting to feel a bit anxious. The price was quite a bit lower than average which made me wonder if it was one of those finance repossession deals, but I’m not entirely sure.
Has anyone here actually dealt with Calkill Transport before or had a car delivered by them?
Really hoping I haven’t fallen for something too good to be true.
Cheers
Has anyone bought a repo vehicle from CALKILL Transport?

I actually bought a 2022 Ford Focus Titanium from Calkill Transport last year for my son and nothing says “I love you” like a car that’s probably cleverer than him!
Everything went smoothly, delivery took about nine days, only hiccup was the lorry couldn’t fit down our street so they unloaded at the top of the road. Other than that, car was exactly as described no issues at all.

I actually call them earlier this week and asked if I could come over to Belfast to check the car myself.
They were surprisingly open about it and said I could visit their yard for a viewing and even a quick test drive if I wanted.
In the end I decided to just go with the delivery option since I saw a few positive mentions online let’s hope that wasn’t a mistake!

I visited Calkill Transport in person back in October when I was looking at a Mazda CX-5 they had listed. Their office is only about 10 minutes from George Best Airport, so it’s easy enough to get to. I met a guy called Chris, really friendly and straightforward explained everything about how the repossessed car sales work and even let me take the car out for a short drive.
Worth noting: they don’t accept cash or card payments, only bank transfer. I wasn’t totally sure at first, but after doing my checks, everything lined up properly. Left with a good impression of how they run things.

Haven’t bought a car from them myself, but I’ve used Calkill Transport through my company for moving equipment and some furniture from Malaga to Belfast, they handled all the customs paperwork and transport updates perfectly.

From what I can see, Calkill Transport seems genuine but still you should take precautions. There are scammers who mimic real firms by cloning their websites or emails.

The bimmer arrived today, the driver phoned me about half an hour before arriving to check if my road was wide enough for the lorry. Everything went smoothly, the car looks brilliant, clean inside and out, and it started up straight away without any warning lights.
Feeling relieved!

Glad to hear that Ian! I actually bought a 2021 Volkswagen Golf GTD from Calkill Transport a couple of months back delivery took about 8 days and everything was spot on except for a small chip on one of the alloy wheels. I emailed them about it and they immediately offered to reimburse the cost of repair.
That kind of response says a lot about how they handle customers. Would definitely recommend them.

Repos can be great value if you do it right. My brother got a Skoda Superb Estate from a repo auction in Manheim and saved thousands compared to dealer prices. Still, like others said, always have it inspected once it arrives just for peace of mind.
