Greetings,
I have owned my Sportage Shadow for eight months, and the ISG seems to have ceased functioning. I understand that the air conditioning will not activate when it is on, but are there any further circumstances that would render it inoperative, aside from hitting the off button?

There is a prevalent issue with ISG, and there are several posts regarding this matter, surpassing the frequency of hot dinners.
The 12V battery has depleted to a level where it fails to activate, which is typically the primary cause, given your increased consumption of 12V power.
It is necessary to recharge a significant percentage of the battery by engine overrun.

I propose we achieve equilibrium by increasing the frequency of posts regarding hot dinners.

I am experiencing the same issue with ISG and "Sailing" on my 2024 GT-line MHEV after leaving it unattended for seven weeks while abroad.
The 12V battery displayed a voltage of 11.4V on a multimeter.
I currently have a solar charger connected to the OBD connector while the car is stationary (not when the engine is operational!). The battery has been elevated to 12V; yet, the ISG and sailing functionalities remain ineffective. Functioned correctly only after an extensive journey to Cornwall and back, but is now malfunctioning once more.

Replace the battery; it is a prevalent issue.

My issues commenced approximately nine months ago, requiring two visits to Kia until they replaced the battery. The car, now thirty months old, is functioning well. Kia charged the battery and reported that all tests indicated the battery was functioning properly. After a few days of operation, the device ceased functioning. I returned it to Kia, instructing them not to charge it but to do a thorough test. The technician took it for a drive while connected to a laptop and subsequently replaced the battery.
