Greetings, individuals.
After a duration of 12 months, I received notification that my GT63s had started the manufacture process. Subsequently, I was informed that the paint color I had initially selected, Vintage Blue, was no longer accessible. Consequently, the paint color was substituted with the closest alternative, MANUFAKTUR Côte d'Azur light blue metallic.
The color does not like the shade of blue that I had desired. Subsequently, a verification of the paint color's availability is conducted. I have just been informed that the production of my automobile has been delayed until the year 2024. Is there a certain timeframe inside the year 2024 that has been determined yet? Undoubtedly, there are potential actions that can be undertaken by the relevant parties.
I am beginning to suspect that the dealership may have made an error and is now attempting to deceive in order to conceal their actions.
Do you have any insight into the factors contributing to Mercedes' mishandling of your order?

Please initiate contact with the customer services department of Mercedes-Benz UK in order to articulate your issues. The advisors possess autonomy from franchise dealerships, enabling them to provide objective guidance based on factual information.
If you are currently in possession of an AMG vehicle, it is advisable to reach out to Mercedes-AMG Customer Services for more assistance. The core essence remains unchanged; nevertheless, it is specifically tailored to cater to AMG vehicles and their respective owners.

I have skepticism about the veracity of their claims. Dealers tend to generate much more profits compared to a single transaction, so disincentivizing them from reporting any potential misconduct on the part of their fellow dealers.
Kindly request the dealer to provide the actual order, enabling you to verify the dates and specifications.

Instances of such occurrences are often seen on online discussion platforms, such as forums, where issues related to delayed manufacturing are commonly discussed. The discrepancy between the specifications of the product and the customer's purchase is a matter of concern. It is surprising that companies like MB are able to evade legal consequences in such situations. Consumer law explicitly mandates sellers to provide items that adhere to the precise specifications requested, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon. The often used phrase "Specs may vary" does not supersede legal regulations.

The experience of delayed manufacturing may be quite aggravating, and I empathize with the original poster (OP). The situation of waiting for a completely made automobile in Mexico for a duration of eight weeks, in anticipation of its transportation by boat, is similarly exasperating.

If a consumer who purchases an AMG GT63s is treated in such a manner, what likelihood does the individual who orders a basic white A180, who is also economically disadvantaged, have of receiving similar treatment?
The service provided was of subpar quality, which is not an ideal way to begin ownership of a high-quality vehicle like as the GTs, as opposed to the A180 model.

It is disconcerting to learn that occurrences of this kind are frequent.
According to the dealership, I have been informed that I have been given priority for the subsequent allocation, scheduled for the year 2024.
I lodged a formal complaint with the headquarters due to the perceived inadequacies of the situation, which I find to be quite unsatisfactory.

What is the rationale for the unavailability of the product until the following year? Is it attributable to the need for customization, such as painting a vehicle in the specific color that was purchased, or is there another underlying cause?
It is recommended to engage in communication with the Customer Services department and request access to a duplicate of the order they have filed.

It is evident that the current unavailability of the option to customize a GT 63 4-door model necessitates the purchase of existing stock. This circumstance may indicate the presence of a significant underlying cause that impedes the fulfillment of custom orders.

No, the vehicle has been constructed and is now being transported to the United Kingdom. The allotment for the year 2023 has been exhausted, and it has been communicated that I will be included in the next available construction slots. What is the year 2024?
