I am considering acquiring an SUV for use during floods or snow, for trips to the landfill, and for transporting my dogs, as I am weary of their odour and drool contaminating the E90's seats and doors.

Discovered a titled vehicle priced reasonably with 135,000 miles; however, the owner has reported a rough idle problem attributed to the NOX sensor, which they estimate will cost around £20 to repair. While it is conceivable, I would anticipate that the DISA or CCV may be the problem; nevertheless, I am also confident that the NOX sensor is around £150. Are there any alternative factors that might lead to the resolution of third world debt?

Are there any other considerations to be aware of about one of these? Common difficulties include cooling system failures, oil leaks, sunroof leaks, and transfer case actuator malfunctions.

The primary suspect for the M54 issue is the lower intake boot, which is inexpensive to repair, however one should anticipate skin abrasion on the knuckles.

I recognise that some of these matters are only for monitoring, and occasionally the tester exhibits excessive enthusiasm; but, it consistently entertains me that individuals simply bring their vehicles in for a MOT, receive several advice, however take no action to address them.

Not every issue can be rectified, and I am aware that my vehicle has components highlighted for two years (rear subframe, which I have wire brushed and treated with "Lanoguard"). However, some of these flags may be easily resolved before the MOT. The vehicles are being marketed at prices at the upper limit of private value; thus, as a buyer, I would want confirmation that the issues have been resolved.

Several vehicles I have lately encountered in advertisements for which I conducted a MOT history check due to my interest in purchasing:

The most recent MOT indicates an oil leak that has been noted over the last three years.
