In January, the car successfully passed Mot without any warnings, which made me pleased. It could use a new front suspension, maybe it's just me. My own work hasn't been too plentiful recently, so I don't want to spend a tonne of money. But I still would like to take away which I feel is a bit of a not so nice front end ride quality. My previous s211 e320's ride comfort was greatly enhanced when I replaced the lower control arms. I couldn't be happier with the results.

I was wondering which front suspension components on the 212 chassis would be the most pressing to replace initially. Is it possible for suspension parts to break so soon after the mot shown no problems? The car doesn't appear to ride very well when the whole family—the wife and three boys—is in it, if that helps with any diagnosis. The front springs may be about to give out on you.

Much obliged.

Taking the vehicle for a nice spin first thing in the morning. The three of us in the car were completely at ease the whole time. Truthfully, I believe it's me.

I will schedule an inspection of the suspension.

In my opinion, the roads' state is the primary factor that influenced my results.

A week after my passed, a spring broke! After disassembling it, I discovered that the front shocks were completely broken. I recently bought new arms and ball joints after completing a swap for Bilstein B8 and Eibach springs. The vehicle drives beautifully, but I am still waiting for the arms to arrive. Definitely inspect the struts. 218 times 250 amps

What is B8?

That's an upgraded damper that's stiffer.

No problem, my friend. The original spring was out of stock, so I had to settle with the ordinary b6 with a reduced spring (the b8). I enjoy the challenge.

In my opinion, the stock damper was probably a DampMatic, a variant of the Bilstein B4.

Which would have provided the greatest of both scenarios.

Sure, I see what you're saying. Designed to accommodate conventional springs, the b6 is an improvement over the b4. My intention was to firm it up because I thought the b4 was a little wollowy.
