The Amazon OBD reader told me that my PPF was at level 3, so I'm getting ready for a lengthy road trip. Instead of making an extra journey if the warning light turns on, should I use the chance to bring it down to zero? Does anyone know where I read that it can't be done till the caution light turns on?

I did the same thing a few weeks ago; the obd reader said stage 3, so I regenerated it at that point instead of waiting for the warning to activate, even though I'm not sure if it's easier to regenerate at that point; I've heard that the onboard computer may adjust the fuel supply or engine timing to aid regeneration.

Although it took a long time to travel from stage 1 to 0, I did the same when showcasing stage 3.
I remember it being easier and faster when the light was on the first time.

Yeah, I had to really beat it up to get it to pass the kia approved test.
