Paid for a repo car through Mcerlane Logistics... anyone used them?

Hi all,

Bit late asking this considering I've already paid but has anyone here actually bought through Mcerlane Logistics in Belfast?

I've bought a 2021 Audi A4 Avant they had advertised as a finance repossession. They explained they're originally a transport/logistics company but now also handle vehicles recovered by finance companies and bought through auction.

I'm in Norwich and they've told me roughly a week for delivery

Price was good, not ridiculously cheap but enough below dealer prices to make me question everything after sending the money.

Anyone actually used them?

Bought a 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid privately from a chap outside Belfast earlier this year and Mcerlane Logistics handled the transaction/delivery side.
But regardless of what I or anybody else says here, buying remotely always carries more risk than standing beside the car yourself.

Also be careful relying on reviews alone. I'd want to know who's actually selling the vehicle, where the money is going and whether you can physically view the car if you choose to

I did ask about viewing before paying, they said I could come to Belfast, inspect it and have a test drive by appointment

Did you independently verify the bank details before paying? Not trying to worry you, genuine question

Yes, they used a segregated business account from another company that hold the funds till the transaction is completed, I also spoke with them on the phone separately and checked the paperwork/details I'd been sent

I actually went over to their Belfast yard when I bought mine, mine was a 2022 Cupra Formentor. I'd already told them there was no chance I was buying a car unseen, so arranged an appointment and flew over in the morning.
Had a proper look around it, checked the service records and paperwork and took it out for a short drive.
Found a small mark on one alloy that wasn't particularly obvious in the advert, but apart from that it was as described.
Paid after I'd seen it and drove it away myself.

That's how I'd buy one. At least you know the car actually exists before transferring thousands
