My screen was replaced by Autoglass on Saturday. Following the modification, the rain sensor and automatic wiper function ceased to operate, with one setting altered to a 6-second intermittent wipe instead of the automatic wipe configuration.
Auto glass sent a technician on Sunday to assess the situation and see whether it could be repaired. Somewhat astonished by the presence of a technician instead of an auto-electrician! Not only couldn't he get it to operate but the intermittent wiping also ceased!! I currently own no information on establishing one.
Been waiting all week for someone from autoglass to get in contact as promised to arrange to have the problem rectified, finally received a call Friday afternoon and they are sending a "technician" Tuesday evening.
Today, after doing online research, I performed a manual reset procedure: doors closed, wiper stalk positioned at 0, engine on, and the setting adjusted from 0 to 3, then back to 0, and finally to 1. My wife splashed some water on the sensor, and it functioned well. I have been driving in the rain this afternoon, and everything seems to be functioning well presently.
