The vehicle has 57,000 miles and experiences a minor shudder when accelerated aggressively in lower gears; a scan via Bimmerlink indicates gearbox error 440011, suggesting the gearbox is nearing the end of its lifespan, though no warning lights are illuminated.
When I operate the vehicle normally, it functions flawlessly; however, it only exhibits issues when I accelerate aggressively. I have scheduled a gearbox service for the end of September; will this remedy the problem, or might it necessitate an entirely new gearbox?

What is the method to ensure uniform tread depth on both axles of your tyres?

It is likely not the case; I am uncertain, as they all possess tread yet vary in brand and tread design. Predominantly all pre-owned components from the prior proprietor.
I aimed to evade expending £1000 on new or identical tires all around, in case it was merely a transfer case service. However, I have learned that tires play a vital role in the xDrive system.

One should invest in quality tires initially; this expenditure enhances your confidence and significantly improves safety.

Expense for a new transfer case along with four tires ?????.
The y x5 was equipped with a set of economical tires, all exhibiting uniform tread depth well above 2mm, which I maintained for two years without any issues.
