My mechanic has "repaired" this wiring on two occasions at no cost under warranty. He informed me on both occasions that it would not resolve the issue. He was correct. I must manipulate the connector after switching off the vehicle, resulting in the light remaining extinguished for weeks. It will occur once more. This constitutes a safety measure. He informed me that when the light is flashing, it indicates that the airbags will not operate. What is the issue with the NHTSA? It is not suitable for everyday use. The initial occurrence transpired when the vehicle had fewer than 10,000 miles. The NHTSA is well aware of this issue. They have demonstrated considerable ineptitude regarding this issue. Aside from that, my Camry is the most dependable vehicle I have possessed. In 2014, while searching for a new vehicle, I informed a salesman that my Camry XLE V6 surpassed all the various cars I had test-driven that day. He appeared as though he was on the verge of tears. My 2014 Avalon has performed well, yet the interior trim has been deteriorating for several years (my wife sustained a cut from it during the initial occurrence) and the leather is peeling off the console and armrests. There is no justification for that. The Camry lacks an opening beneath the seat where my son occupied a car for multiple years.

The artificial intelligence elucidated it flawlessly. The genuine remedy is likely too perilous to be inexpensive (hardwire). I will continue to shake.

What type of connector is located beneath the driver's seat?

I assert that all wiring connectors related to air bags are yellow-hued. It would be advisable to locate the airbag control module and detach the main connector from it. Uncertain whether the SRS indicator will remain illuminated continuously with the controller detached. Alternatively, if you wish to manipulate the wiring previously handled by your mechanic, consult your mechanic and request a demonstration of the specific connector or wiring that was adjusted.

It seems that the original poster is familiar with the connector and is already manipulating it, and I suspect they are attempting to maintain the system's functionality rather than disable it.

I am perplexed. You are displeased regarding a wiring connection in a twenty-five-year-old Camry and the NHTSA's lack of a more vigorous investigation into the matter. The issue began at just 10,000 miles on the odometer twenty-four years ago and remains unresolved.

Toyota distributed over two million Camrys during the period from 1997 to 2001. This issue does not appear to be particularly prevalent. It appears that you should seek a different mechanic if this issue persists. If this problem originated with merely 10,000 miles on the odometer (which I presume was approximately in 2002), your Toyota dealership ought to have rectified it long ago. This would have provided numerous chances for a resolution, provided you possessed the documentation indicating that the problem arose while the vehicle was still within its original 3-year/36,000-mile warranty.

Have you sought a second opinion?

I perused the subsequent post and erroneously assumed it originated from the original poster. I now realise it originated from you. I apologise for my mistake.

Have you ever submitted a report to NHTSA, given that you have experienced this problem from the outset, with numerous airbag complaints related to accidents?
