My automobile had a power loss when I was travelling on the motorway. When I pulled over to the hard shoulder, the engine shut down and showed an error message stating "starter/ignition fault."

When attempting to start the automobile, a clicking sound is heard, but the car does not start and there is no power to the dashboard save for the iDrive screen. My battery was replaced more than a month ago. The following day, when I attempted to activate the car's electrical system, the battery level was at 10% due to the hazard lights being left on for a few hours.

Any insights on the car's issue?

Vehicle details: Make: BMW Model: 116D Year: 2014 Mileage: 92,000
Timing chain has not been replaced.

After replacing the battery, the vehicle was in transport mode. However, it was in the process of changing the BST terminal owing to a system warning from a while back, with no additional fault warnings present.

Any assistance is welcomed.

Dead battery. Determine the cause of the deflation.

Exercise caution while jump-starting a vehicle by ensuring the donor car's engine is off and your engine is stopped before removing the jump leads.

After attempting to jump start the automobile unsuccessfully, I charged the battery the next day and attempted starting it again without success. The technician inspected the alternator and various relays, but the problem remains.

It is advisable to use a BMW-compatible scanner like Amzon's Ancel BM500 or BM700 to check for problem codes, since doing otherwise would be guesswork.
Possible causes include a faulty cam sensor, crank sensor, leaky injector leading to insufficient pressure to start the engine, or a DDE issue.
Codes are required.

Remove them and see which ones return when you start the engine.

It seems that there is a problem with the electronics, specifically related to Terminal 15 and 30 codes, rather than a battery power issue. Requires more thorough examination to determine the situation.
