Greetings, everyone.

I own a 2015 SD4 vehicle and it has just had an unusual malfunction.

The automobile has travelled a total of 87,000 miles.

The vehicle operates well while it is in a chilly state, but after it reaches a higher temperature, it sometimes fails to go forward after coming to a full stop at an intersection or traffic lights.

Insufficiently halting at a crossroads and intermittently applying little pressure to the accelerator might result in the vehicle resuming motion. When the vehicle is in the upper gears, it seems to operate smoothly.

When the malfunction occurs, I have attempted to switch to manual shifting using the controls on the steering wheel. The dashboard display will continue to indicate that the vehicle is in a high gear, such as 4th or 5th, even after it has come to a complete stop. It seems that the gear is not shifting back to first gear in order to start again.

Occasionally, the vehicle will completely cease to operate until it has sufficiently cooled down.

I have taken it to the garage for inspection and it has been diagnosed with three fault codes.

The power circuit for the rear sensors is labelled as B1B58-11. The U3000-49 control module is experiencing an intermittent problem. I believe this is the parking assistance module, since it sometimes displays the message "parking aid unavailable" when the vehicle is shifted into reverse.

The U0140-08 code indicates a loss of connection between the vehicle's U0140-08 system and the body control module.

The code U0001-82 The issue at hand is a sporadic malfunction in the high-speed CAN communication bus.

The technician has suggested beginning the process by replacing the gearbox fluid.

I have conducted an extensive online search about the aforementioned problem, but regrettably, I have been unable to locate any relevant information.

I am inquiring if anybody here has knowledge on if the aforementioned defects might be the cause of the problem, and if so, where would be the most suitable starting point to address it. Should I first see an auto electrician or begin by replacing the fluid?

I would much appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

Have you attempted a manual reset of the transmission? If that doesn't work, doing a gearbox oil and filter replacement can be helpful.

While I am unable to assist with the fault code problems, there may be someone else on this platform who can. In the meantime, please take a moment to read the information provided below and identify yourself. It is important to note that this forum primarily serves as an owners club rather than a dedicated helpline. However, many individuals on this platform are willing to provide assistance if they are able to do so.

My apologies, I should clarify that I have attempted the manual reset many times. Initially, I believed that the issue had been resolved, but after a few days, it reappeared.

Thank you.

Is there a filter present on the ZF9 box in ? The technician believes that the vehicle in question does not have a certain component, since he just performed a replacement on a Discovery Sport model. He had difficulty in locating a filter and sought advice from a merchant who informed him that no such filter exists. Thank you.

Although I am not a mechanic, I used Google to get information on both the early 2.2 and the 2016 forward 2.0 engines. Based on this information, unless it is incorrect, I believe that we do have a filter.

Indeed, it seems that there is indeed one. I have accessed the website and entered all the necessary information.

I will need to place it on the ramp and thoroughly inspect it in order to identify any potential issues.

Greetings, It will not be visible to you. Similar to the majority of automatic transmissions, the filter is located inside the gearbox, often found in the oil pan.
This video demonstrates the process of replacing the filter and oil on a ZF9 gearbox. The filter can be seen at the 3:20 minute mark.

Thank you, it is excellent. Are you aware of the recommended interval for changing the filter?
