Today, I experienced a loss of compression in Cylinder 3 of my 2009 R57 Mini Cooper S.
I am unable to address the issue until the weekend and must still go to work. Therefore, I am seeking to determine if it is feasible to detach and deactivate the individual fuel injectors, allowing the engine to operate on three cylinders without damaging the catalytic converter for a few days.
Is it feasible?
Disconnection of the fuel injector on the 09 MCS R57?

My recommendation is to park it and repair it.

I would advise not running it till it is rectified.

I have retrieved and cleaned my motorcycle. At least it is not winter, I suppose.

I spent many years operating a Fireblade year-round, which was somewhat uncomfortable on freezing 6:30 AM mornings or 70 mph gusts, since the motorcycle was my sole mode of transportation while the vehicle was designated for my wife and children. This experience undoubtedly honed my riding skills and taught me the nuances of being dry and relatively warm.

I must from my residence just before 6, hence transitioning from a comfortable warm bed to endure an hour in the cool, foggy wetness of Northumberland is not the most appealing or exhilarating thought.

I understand it is hard to transition from a comfortable vehicle; I sold all my motorcycles a decade ago and still want for them, however I do not miss the associated risks. It may be beneficial for you to get an inexpensive vehicle for a few weeks while you resolve your situation.

Ironically, I just purchased my girlfriend's Smart Car, which she intended to junk due to a blown head gasket.
I may prioritise repairing that one first due to its lower operational costs, since it only requires a gasket replacement and an engine clean.

a guy braver than I Before replacing the head gasket on a Smart vehicle, ensure there are no leaks or a malfunctioning water pump impeller, since these issues may mimic gasket failure by causing coolant loss to the extent that the remaining fluid vaporises.
