Greetings, everyone.
I have been considering many C63 models and am contemplating if it is justified to spend the more at a big dealership.
They seem to differ by an additional 3,000 to 5,000 for used cars of identical specifications, age, and mileage. I conversed with the dealer, and they said that the warranty has a value of $2,000 independently of the vehicle's price.
I am considering a black C63 saloon; however, I want to have the chrome blackened off, a Panamericana-style grille installed, and a carbon exterior package applied. Is there any information on whether this action will invalidate the warranty?
Has anybody have experience with filing a claim on the warranty package? What was your experience, if applicable? Do you believe it is worthwhile to pay a premium for it?
Thank you very much!

The AMG Approved Used Warranty is two years, in contrast to the one-year warranty offered for all regular Approved Used Mercedes models. An Approved Used Warranty will not include all aspects covered by the original Manufacturer's Warranty, which also has exclusions. To initiate a claim, just return the vehicle to the dealer, who will recognize the Approved Used Warranty and manage the process accordingly. No special action is required on your part to claim.
The last time I purchased a pre-owned vehicle in 2008, I believed the "certified pre-owned" guarantee was unlimited.
Since that time, I have only purchased a brand new Mercedes-Benz. The pre-owned vehicles I purchased from several Mercedes-Benz dealers had their many issues resolved without hesitation. Nevertheless, circumstances have evolved; my vehicles were not AMG.
I had a three-year warranty coverage; regardless of the evaluations, it is prudent to examine the bad feedback to understand potential issues, as my personal experience indicates it might be challenging.

...and review the fine print...often, customer dissatisfaction arises from their failure to comprehend what is included and excluded prior to enrollment.

Your suggested modifications cannot invalidate the warranty unless it is shown that they are directly responsible for the failure; so, the grill may be a point of contention. If any of the cruise sensors and cameras malfunction, which may be affixed to the grille and were relocated to the new unit, they can attempt to assert that you are responsible.
