Drilling of the E60 trunk

Greetings everyone,
I am experiencing difficulties. I attempted to repair the boot latch on my cherished E60 LCI (2010) saloon. After a vexing afternoon, I became distracted and closed the boot with the latch cable detached from the key fob mechanism, rendering it inoperable. I now I must drill into the trunk to access the release mechanism.
Does anyone possess the specifications for drilling locations? I have searched many forums for two days and have been unable to get the information regarding the E60.
If not, could someone capture several photographs of both the latch and the corresponding bar, as well as provide more precise dimensions of the latch? Is it centred, and how much of the latch protrudes when the boot is opened? What is the length of the bar protruding from the lower section of the trunk to which it latches? I own a new latch to interpret any given measures. I would greatly appreciate any assistance, as I need to fly in three days!
Thank you in advance!
