Re: Starting the Motor
Two methods exist for starting a diesel engine:"The modern way" means to handle it like petrol and not to touch the accelerator pedal. For the good ol' days, when you had to physically start the engine, you would have to floor the accelerator pedal before turning the key. In this particula...

Re: Here we go again with EV6 and ICCU! (Ev6 Facelift)
I apologise for the news. I am relieved that you reached a safe stop. So far, I haven't heard anything bad about the newest version of ICCU, so I'm hoping it will replace the old one. The fact that we are currently experiencing a heat wave probably isn't helping matters. Did the airport have inside ...

Re: Death Squawk?
Mini coopers encounter problems with the death rattle at certain mileages; this starts around 80,000, 100,000, and 110,000 kilometres, and then it's slammed down, so you have to shift gears to prevent the tack tack tik tok noise.

Re: Acceleration without warning
The dealer's finding of no faults with the vehicle and the extent of the damage are both deeply troubling. In all my years of driving Sportages (which began in 2018), I have never encountered anything like this. Could you perhaps get a loan car from the dealer or have the lease company arrange for a...

Re: Question about suspension s/w212
Sure, I see what you're saying. Designed to accommodate conventional springs, the b6 is an improvement over the b4. My intention was to firm it up because I thought the b4 was a little wollowy.

Re: Question about suspension s/w212
No problem, my friend. The original spring was out of stock, so I had to settle with the ordinary b6 with a reduced spring (the b8). I enjoy the challenge.

Re: Question about suspension s/w212
A week after my passed, a spring broke! After disassembling it, I discovered that the front shocks were completely broken. I recently bought new arms and ball joints after completing a swap for Bilstein B8 and Eibach springs. The vehicle drives beautifully, but I am still waiting for the arms to arr...
